Foundations
This first course in EMC’s Storage Technology track introduces students
to an ‘open’ storage curriculum that is focused on s and principles
rather than on products. The objective is to provide a comprehensive
introduction to storage technology, enabling participants to make more
informed decisions about information management and storage in context
of their own company infrastructure, regardless of storage platform.

- Upon successful
completion of this course, participants should be able to:
Describe storage concepts and architecture of Storage Subsystems,
DAS, SAN, NAS, and CAS
- Explain
Backup/Recovery, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, Local and
Remote Replication
- Describe emerging
technologies such as IP-SAN, Storage Virtualization, and Security
- Identify logical
and physical components of a storage infrastructure
- Describe the core
elements of a data center infrastructure
Target Audience
This course is ideally suited for technical professionals who wish to
expand their expertise into the fastest-growing segment of IT – storage.
